How to Read a Listing: Acres, Access, Rules and Rest Days

September 29, 2026 | Hike Hunt Fish

Acres and access type

Acreage tells you the size of the property, but access type tells you what you are getting. Exclusive access means your group is the only one on the land that day. Shared access means the host allows more than one party at a time, up to the limit shown. Both are fine; they are just different products at different prices.

Price per unit

Prices are shown per hunter, angler, rider or hiker per day, or per party per day. The booking panel shows the full total, including the service fee, before you pay. There are no fees added later.

Seasons and availability

Hosts set the dates they are open, and some set different prices for weekends or peak season. The calendar on the listing shows blocked days and any special prices. If you need dates that are not open, message the host before booking.

Requirements

This section lists the minimum age, group size, license and hunter-education requirements, and any gear the host expects you to bring. If a license is required, you will upload a photo of it after booking and our team will check it.

Rules and safety

Read this section carefully. It covers host rules, such as blaze orange and vehicle use, and safety notes about the property, such as livestock, water hazards or limited cell service.

Cancellation policy

Each listing uses one of five policies, from flexible to non-refundable. Every booking also gets a 24-hour free-cancellation window if the trip is at least seven days away. The policy is shown on the listing and on your confirmation.
